Provider Spotlight: Dr. Dave Algea

Dr. Dave returned to practice in his hometown, joining Primary Care Pediatrics in 2015. He is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics. His medical degree is from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center, where he graduated with high honors, earning membership in the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. He completed his residency training at LeBonheur Children’s Hospital. Doctor Dave has previous experience working for two Memphis area non-profit organizations: Church Health Center, prior to medical school, and Christ Community Health Services, as a staff pediatrician. He has also traveled internationally on several medical mission trips to impoverished regions of Paraguay and Jamaica. Dr. Dave enjoys all aspects of pediatrics with special interests in adolescent health, pediatric dermatology, as well as emotional and spiritual health. He and his wife Kelly have two children, William and Adeline.
